Leah is a Litigation Paralegal at Setter Roche Smith & Shellenberger and began working at the firm in July 2023. She provides paralegal services in the area of family law. Leah earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice from Metropolitan State College of Denver, and her Paralegal Certification from Community College of Aurora.

Prior to joining the firm, Leah spent three years as a paralegal with Kontnik | Cohen, LLC providing support in a variety of cases including family law, employment, discrimination, and civil litigation. Additionally, she spent four years working as a Legal Assistant for the United States Attorney’s Office in the Civil Division, and a year with Lutheran Family Services as a Legal Aide assisting newly arrived refugees and asylees with adjustment of status applications. Her education and broad range of professional experience gives her a unique and empathetic perspective when helping clients navigate what is often the most emotionally taxing series of events in their lives.

Leah is a Colorado native and lives in Aurora with her family, two dogs, Darwin and Daisy, and cat, Freddie Purrcury. Outside of work, Leah is passionate about serving clients as a birth doula and is certified and skilled in a variety of topics related to pregnancy and childbirth. She enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends, reading, trying new restaurants, attending concerts and Broadway performances, and traveling every chance she gets.
