Melissa Eichten

Melissa is a seasoned patent paralegal with over 22 years of experience, having joined the firm in 2019. Her extensive expertise encompasses all stages of patent preparation and prosecution, covering both U.S. and foreign patent processes. Melissa has a proven track record in creating and implementing efficient internal systems, including docketing processes, administrative workflows, and maintaining data integrity.

In her current role, Melissa is responsible for file management, client communication, application preparation and filing, and docketing USPTO correspondence. She also coordinates workloads for attorneys and manages monthly client accruals and billing, ensuring seamless operations within the patent department.

​

Melissa holds an Associate’s degree and a Paralegal Certificate from Rasmussen College in Minneapolis.

​

Outside of work, Melissa is deeply passionate about her family and baseball. She actively engages in her children’s activities, serving as a coach for baseball teams, practicing karate, and grooming horses. Her happy place is Target Field, where she enjoys cheering on the Minnesota Twins. In addition to baseball, Melissa loves reading, hiking, and immersing herself in music and movies.

Dedicated to giving back, Melissa volunteers her time and energy to the Saint Francis Center and the American Cancer Society in the Minneapolis area.
